Q: What is Amazon AppStream ?
Amazon AppStream is a fully managed non-persistent application and desktop streaming service that provides users instant access to their desktop applications from anywhere.
Q: Does Amazon AppStream support USB devices such as Tablets?
A: Yes. Appstream 2.0 supports, tablets ,keyboards and other USB devices.
Q: What monitor configurations are supported by the AppStream Windows Client?
A: For browser-based streaming sessions, AppStream 2.0 supports the use of up to two monitors with a maximum display resolution of 2560×1440 pixels per monitor.
Q: What is persistent storage?
A: Persistent storage is any data storage device that retains data after the session ends. There are two persistent storage areas in Appstream: 1. Google Drive for Desktop 2. Your Home Folder. Please save your files to these two persistent storage areas. Data Stored any where else will be deleted after your session.
Q: How do I log into Appstream?
A: There are a couple log-ins that you need to do. First you need to sign into an Appstream session by logging into your Masss Art e-mail and selecting the Appstream app in the google app launcher. This is a single sign on app so your session will start up. The second log-in would be to your google drive after your session has launched. If you are using the adobe applications, you’ll need to sign in there as well.
Q: When does the session time out?
A: Your Appstream session will time out after 30 minutes of inactivity. Make sure you save your work frequently during your session.
